New York-based designer Willy Chavarria and adidas Originals are linking up again for a new chapter of their ongoing collaboration.

The collection, named “Love Prevails”, styled by the designer himself, follows the theme of love winning even when everything is against it. Chavarria’s collection is a statement of resistance, it speaks to different communities supporting each other and bringing love, faith and empathy in a world filled with fear and uncertainty. “In times of darkness, brightness emerges in all its splendor,” wrote the press release. And you can really see that with the campaign’s visuals repping a united community.
The main character of the Chavarria collection are the two Superstars – both black and white iterations – which feature the molded rose shell toe, one of Chavarria’s signatures and the Willy Chavarria x adidas co-branded logo on the tongue and sole. The clothing collection includes bombers, crewnecks, cargo jackets, pinstriped tracksuits, T-shirts, socks, and more, all featuring Chavarria’s logo and rose embroidery motifs in a predominantly black and white palette with hints of red.
Willy Chavarria is widely known for speaking out against Trump’s America with his fashion shows and collections – calling out ICE, and referencing LBGTQIA+ issues. His aesthetic captures a world inspired by his Mexican heritage and Chicano culture of long shorts and oversized T-shirts.
