Following a spate of collaborations in 2021, Both WTAPS x Champion are set to start 2022 off strong with this latest joint collaboration. After debuting their first efforts back in February of last year, the duo now looks to enhance our wardrobes with a selection of cosy basics and essentials.
The collection bears the title "Academy" and uses WTAPS director Tetsu Nishiyama's BLANKS apparel line for inspiration. Found within the collection, we see hoodies, sweatshirts, long-sleeved tees, T-Shirts and sweatpants.
Each piece arrives with a boxy and relaxed fit, ideal for lounging or creating those carefree silhouettes when you're on the move. Co-branded woven labels are found on each piece in the collection, bearing both brands' logos respectively.
From a colour perspective, the duo has kept things neutral with a trio of simplistic but effective hues. “Beige”, “Olive Drab”, and “Sand” are all featured within the mix, meaning this collection will be easy to pair with your favourite drab pieces.
The full WTAPS x Champion "Academy" collection will be available from the Champion Japan website, WTAPS online and selected brick and mortar locations from January 15th. In other news, Off-White drops an accessory heavy capsule to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
