Yohji Yamamoto's exclusive adidas Futurecraft 4D collaboration has been going on since February 2018, and now, the legendary Japanese designer has announced the third iteration of the Y-3 Runner 4D, and it's the techwear lover's dream.
First spotted on the runways of Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, the Runner 4D completely reworks the design from the ground up. Inspired by the Y-3 Yuto and Y-3 Tenet, the upper features an ultra breathable mesh base while a diamond-patterned cage is overlaid on top for added support and structure - a design feature that's taken from Yamamoto's first adidas sneaker.
Down below, the award winning Futurecraft 4D midsole makes a return in an "Ash Green" hue, and to round it all off, the style icon's signature is embroidered along the lateral side in white thread, like an artist signing off his work.
Hitting shelves on December 10th, every single time the power duo drop these they sell out within seconds, so it's safe to assume that the brand new Y-3 Runner 4D will also be extremely limited. Priced at £450, it's definitely not for everyone, but it's a shoe that will surely be the centre of attention.
