Coachella’s first weekend was big on the streetwear front this year. It’s Bieberchella, after all. We got Cench in a custom “CAP” hoodie by GAP, Justin Bieber wore full Skylrk for his headline set, and Young Thug put on some crazy custom Vans for his performance.

The custom Sp5der x Vans Slip-Ons were created by Italian designer Mattias Gollin for the rapper’s Coachella performance. The designer is known for customising pieces like Timberlands, Vans, Moon Boots, and even Rimowa suitcases, collaborating with the brands on detailed rhinestone embellishments.
For Young Thug, Gollin went for a spiderweb-inspired design, aligned with the rapper’s own brand Sp5der’s web motif, in a black and a white colourway – although on stage Thug only showed off his black pair. Maybe we’ll see the white colourway next weekend.
There hasn’t been a formal announcement on a Sp5der x Vans release, but perhaps there’s one on the horizon. Sp5der recently collabed with adidas on a Superstar, so Vans could be next up.
