We're going down memory lane today, as we take our best look yet at the unreleased Yeezy Boost 650. A shoe that first surfaced all the way back in 2017, early samples of this shoe caused quite a frenzy within the sneaker community, with many coining it a hybrid between the Yeezy Boost 350 and the Yeezy Boost 750. Three years later, we're getting up close and personal with two colourways to see what could have been.
Decked out in a full Primeknit construction, the "Black" and "White" both bear a striking resemblance to the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 line but with a much higher ankle for added support. Along the tongue and heel, you'll be presented with a small fabric ribbon that acts as a pull tab, harkening back to the "Blade" samples that we came across a few years back.
Down below, the beloved midsole is still ribbed and infused with adidas Boost, but the midfoot part extends further up the shoe, leading us to believe that this was originally intended for court use. Interestingly enough, the "White" pair seems to be lined with gum rubber but this is quite hard to tell.
What do you think of the adidas Yeezy Boost 650? Making its most recent appearance during Kanye West's iconic Forbes interview at the end of last year, it's safe to assume that these will never see the light of day considering his aesthetic has changed a lot since 2017. With that said, would you cop if these actually dropped? Let us know what's on your mind, and in related news, the Yeezy Boost 380 "Mist" finally has a confirmed release date!
