Inspired by the original commercial for the 1985 Air Jordan 1, we’re just starting to see leaked images of the rumoured Air Jordan 1 High OG “Rebellionaire”. While at the moment these are just mock-ups, we do know several details regarding how the sneakers will look. Consisting of the same colour-blocking from the legendary AJ1 Shadow, the pair will be made up of shades of black and grey.
Other notable details include a red cross emblazoned onto the heel of each sneaker, pointing to how the original silhouette was banned from the NBA, although Michael Jordan continued to wear them throughout the season, resulting in hefty bans for the Chicago Bulls each game.
Alongside this head-turning feature, the entirety of the uppers will also display the words “THEY CAN’T STOP YOU FROM WEARING THEM”, once again referencing how the sneakers were banned, with this tagline used in the aforementioned commercial. The pair are likely to be crafted from leather and will also feature other distinctive AJ1 details such as Swoosh logos on both the lateral and medial sides, a perforated toe box and wings logos at the collar. This will all sit on top of a white midsole concealing full-length Nike Air cushioning for maximised comfort.
If you’re as intrigued over the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Rebellionaire” as we are, then you’ll have to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for more details, as we don’t know much else yet. As soon as further release details are unveiled we’ll be the first to share with you, so watch out for all the latest and while you’re here check out your first look at the Nike SB Dunk Low “Chlorophyll”!
