When the KCDC x Nike SB Dunk High first leaked back in July of last year, we knew right away that it was going to be a must-cop. Serving Brooklyn's skate community for two decades, this special edition release celebrates the shop's 20 year anniversary in spectacular fashion.
Arriving in an all-pink palette, Amy Ellington's take on the legendary Dunk High works atop a premium nubuck base while buttery suede panels wrap around the heel, toebox, and lacing system. For a dash of contrast, a stealthy Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, and this is contrasted by a blacked out midsole underfoot, complete with a dash of gum for good measure.
There's loads of other cool details peppered throughout too. For instance, underneath the classic Nike logos, "KCDC 2001" and "KCDC 2021" are stitched onto the right and left tongues respectively as a nod to the 20 years that the skateshop has been around. Custom heel tabs also feature around the heel, and while you can't see it in these shots from @yankeekicks, the insoles are dipped in a bold green and feature devil, star, and smiley face illustrations.
Originally supposed to drop last year, the KCDC x Nike SB Dunk High "Pink" has now been confirmed for this weekend on April 29th! Make sure you smash those "Notify me" buttons for your best chance to cop, and while you're here, you might as well check out these leaked images of the froSkate x Nike SB Dunk High!
