The Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 "Super Earth" has been on our radar for quite some time now. First leaked back in May of last year when the man himself popped a pic up on Instagram, we're still waiting for these to drop almost one year later. While we wait, however, we're now taking our best look yet thanks to these brand new shots from @wideawakearthquake!
Following the same ethos as the Round Two co-founder's Superstar, the ZX 8000 is made from 100% plant-based materials with a design that's completely random. Keeping in line with Wotherspoon's love of all things thrifted, this collaboration looks like someone mashed an entire vintage store together, complete with retro purple canvas, green checked patterns, frayed stitching, exposed tags, and neon paper laces.
Of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning the multicoloured flowers that hang down across the laterals and the plethora of vibrant adidas Trefoils that are peppered along the medials. This all sits on top of a ZX midsole that's as comfortable as it gets.
Rumoured to be the letter "W" in the coveted A-ZX series, the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 "Super Earth" is pure insanity in a sneaker - and we like it. Let us know what you think of this crazy collaboration, and in related news, the Yeezy Slide just surfaced in four new colourways!
