London-based retailer Footpatrol officially launches its winning first-round entry from the inaugural adidas Consortium Cup in early 2023. The prestigious sneaker design tournament showcased 16 prominent streetwear retailers competing in a head-to-head elimination where voters decide the victors. The Footpatrol x adidas Gazelle 85 “Light Grey” reinterprets the terrace classic’s low-profile design with a utilitarian get-up inspired by technical insulation jackets.
This limited-edition Gazelle 85 colourway boasts a light grey nylon upper with Primaloft layers inside the fabric. Suede overlays reinforce the toe and eyestays, whilst crisp white leather 3-Stripes assemble on the sidewalls. The inner lining displays a silvery texture, a nod to the puffy look of down jackets. Footpatrol branding adorns the forefoot, complementing the co-branded Trefoil and Gasmask logos embellishing the tongue, rear, and sockliners. Below, the semi-translucent gum sole anchors the upper, harkening back to the silhouette’s ‘80s adaptation. This exclusive colourway includes a Consortium Cup package, special-edition hangtags, and extra blue laces.
