adidas Originals New York x Daniel Arsham | CM7193 is a collaborative effort between the German sportswear giants and the American artist. This newest collab is a reimagining of a fan favourite silhouette, the New York. With inspiration coming from the designers love of archaeology, which is very apparent across the entire crep.
Let’s start with the colourway shall we. Simplistic as anything, a bone coloured white across the entirety of the shoe, the materials are where this crep stands out. With fraying across the panels to give it a distressed look, similar to that of a bone chilling underground for a 1000 years.
The highlight of this crep has to be the subtle details though, like the dope packaging, the midsole being exceptionally jagged to conjure images of serrated teeth but the stand out has to be seen under UV light. When this shoe is subject to the Ultra Violet rays the saying of THE PAST IS PRESENT appears in bright blue. Seriously dope.
