Introducing the Hanon x adidas New York Dark Storm, yet another impressive collab from the Scottish retailer. This time, they look closer to home for the inspiration behind this adidas icon. It’s the grey and miserable skies of Scotland which makes for one of the more unique FW17 colourways.
Famed amongst sneakerheads, Hanon Store in Aberdeen is known as one of the most exclusive sneaker destination’s in the UK. They’ve enjoyed countless collaborations over the years with some of the biggest sneaker manufacturers. Now, they join adidas for their latest instalment, the ‘Dark Strom’ New York.
“Three-seasons-in-a-day” goes some way to explaining the unpredictable weather of Scotland. The adidas New York takes on that gloomy theme but manages to arrive in an electrifying colour scheme.
A fade-away pattern covers the upper with conventional hits of suede that stay true to the very first OGs. Vibrant pops of blue to the inner lining gives a nice contrast to that grey colourway whilst a jacquard print midsole sits underfoot. The letters ‘HANON’ give a subtle nod to this collaborative effort across the sidewall.
