The adidas Pure Boost 2 Red is a brand-new style that marries Boost technology with soft and flexible Primeknit. While that’s nothing new with current adidas sportswear, this release does remain unique thanks to the refined upper. It’s simplistic and on-trend, a homage to some of the most popular releases in recent years.
The full Primeknit opts for a similar opening to that of the Yeezy Boost while other characteristics have clearly been lifted from the popular Ultra Boost. Three stripes contrast in white across the full red upper while a black coloured heel counter sits at the rear. This includes perforated markings for breathability and acts as a protective measure.
Other notable features on this pair include that unique lacing construct. A set of chunky, rope laces gives that lock down fit and puts more emphasis on the lifestyle aesthetic over a sports influenced look.
Finally, Boost technology underfoot promises the best in comfort and cushioning. It makes the shoe lightweight but surprisingly durable. For more sneakerheads, this Boost midsole needs very little introduction.
