Today we turn our attention towards the adidas Stan Smith Sock Primeknit Black, a shoe which offers a unique twist on a classic silhouette.
Dressed in a flexible black Primeknit upper, the sneak initially bares resemblance to adidas’s City Sock range. The difference here is rather than Boost being used underfoot, the German giants have transplanted the sole from the iconic Stan Smith, that has been a sneakerhead fan favourite for decades.
A high sock like collar ensures a snug fit around the ankle for support and stability, ensuring that your feet stay locked down. Stitched detailing throughout the knit, in an almost ‘glitch’ like effect, gives the aesthetic of the sneak a real depth, as well as a technical edge.
Minimalist branding finishes off the look, with adidas’s signature Stan Smith heel plate and a new semi-circular overlay on the medial side of the mid-foot.
