Hello Kitty x adidas Stan Smith White

Tell me you’re a Hello Kitty fan without telling me you’re a Hello Kitty fan – this pair of Stan Smith is sure to do exactly that. It’s not the first time we’ve seen the 3-Stripes embrace the world-famous cartoon kitten, let alone the first time we’ve seen the character on a piece of footwear, as legendary footwear designer Steven Smith would tell you himself. This Stan Smith iteration joins an already available collection of Hello Kitty-themed sneakers on the adidas website that includes the adidas Astir and Forum Low.

This Stan Smith leaps back onto the shelves in its traditional tennis court white, which is about the only normal feature you’ll get on the pair, as even the white laces have got pink tips. A large Hello Kitty plush toy comes attached as an optional lace dubrae, channelling similar energy as the huge “Teddy Bear” Jeremy Scott and adidas collaborations from the past. Faux fur can be found on the heel, with more textures adding to the playful twist of this classic silhouette. The inside lining is filled with a repeat pattern, showcasing the character’s various costume editions throughout its existence. On the side wall, “Hello Kitty and friends” replaces the usual gold foil Stan Smith lettering, although the iconic tongue label remains untouched.
