The Brand With The Three Stripes has unveiled a ton of high heat silhouettes this year, but one that probably stands above the rest if the brand new adidas Torsion X Black. Influenced by sneaker designs from the ’80s and the ’90s, this shoe is a mish mash of many styles from many eras, and it all comes together to create something that just works perfectly!
Painted in a stealthy all black colour scheme across its upper, the shoe is crafted from a textile and mesh construction so it’s perfect for the autumn months. For a pop of contrast, ‘Hi-Res Yellow’, ‘Shock Pink’, and ‘Active Blue’ accents are scattered throughout for an aesthetic that’s sure to turn heads, and if you look closely, you’ll find a few design elements that are very clearly borrowed from other models.
For instance, the transparent piping that runs across the lacing system is taken from the Ozweego. Speaking of which, a number of suede ovals form the lacing system, kind of like Kanye West’s Yeezy 500. To add to this, the Boost set up down below bears a striking resemblance to the Crazy BYW, putting a huge emphasis on the chunky unit around the heel.
Scheduled to drop on September 13th, the adidas Torsion X Black is something that you really don’t want to miss! Fusing classic designs with contemporary technology, don’t miss out!
