The adidas Torsion X White Red is one of the most exciting new sneakers of the year. While it may look like an all new design, it takes actually inspiration from ’80s and ’90s models, mixed in with the perfect amount of futurism for a look that’s sure to turn heads.

Painted in a striking white and orange palette, the upper of the Torsion X White Red is made predominantly from an ultra breathable mesh. A series of suede ovals make up the unique lacing system – a design taken straight from Kanye West’s Yeezy 500, while transparent piping runs across the entire shoe for a look that’s very clearly influenced by the original Ozweego from the ’90s.

Down below, you’ll find an ultra chunky hybrid midsole that’s made up of both foam and Boost. While this certainly isn’t the first time the Three Stripes have tried something like this, making its way previously to silhouettes such as the Crazy BYW, this is the best implementation yet. To round it all off, “Torsion” is scribbled onto the tongue, while a giant Torsion logo is printed across the laterals, emphasising the shoe’s legendary support technology that’s been around for three decades.
