Embracing a “maximal minimalism” approach once again, HAL Studios and ASICS team up for another collaborative project. The Australia-based multi-faceted creative house is hot on the heels of the launch of its SEASON 04 collection for Spring/Summer ‘24, headlined by a multitude of premium apparel. Serving a fresh rework of an iconic retro trainer, this HAL Studios x ASICS Gel-Kayano 20 “White Black” is one of the hottest collabs of the year, looking to replicate the success of previous projects.

After a colourful partnership with KENZO, the Gel-Kayano 20 takes the spotlight in another joint venture. Originally dropping back in 2013, this technical running shoe was once considered the gold standard within the Japanese brand's catalogue. This exclusive trimmed-down edition sports a white open mesh underlay propped up by a black premium leather framework to give the lightweight silhouette structure. Tiger Stripes bolster the sidewalls, complementing the ASICS logo on the lateral forefoot and tongue. Meanwhile, co-branded labels decorate the sockliners.

Three hook-up-loop straps supersede the regular lacing setup, allowing you to slip your foot inside easily. GEL cushioning sits underfoot, encased within a lightweight foam midsole to facilitate cushioning and comfort.
