The A COLD WALL x Converse ERX 260 Mid Grey Violet is part of the first ever collaborative capsule between Samuel Ross’s London-based high-end label and Nike’s sister label Converse. The pair were first unveiled on the runway and have since been eagerly anticipated by footwear fans and high-end gurus alike. We've got a detailed look right here, so read on for more!
As a proficient designer, Samuel Ross was given total creative freedom by Converse to create a brand-new silhouette, and he did just that, creating a futuristic spin on the Chuck Taylor All Star (even though it's barely recognisable). They’re crafted primarily from supple suede that takes on a pale grey hue, reflecting the label’s general aesthetic. An initial logo is embroidered onto the tongue and also makes an appearance on the Velcro ankle strap, while a perforated toe cap reminiscent of the AJ1 is also present.
Underfoot, the designer opts for an ice-blue sole and midsole to create a serious premium look and feel. It complements the grey upper perfectly and ties in neatly with the theme of the shoes. The Converse x A-Cold-Wall collaboration is without a date one of the most eagerly anticipated team efforts in a while, with fans of the label itching for a release date.
The A COLD WALL x Converse ERX 260 Mid Grey Violet is set for a wider release at Converse and select retailers on the 17th September, although we don't expect this limited edition pair to be easy to get hold of.
