What you are looking at right now is the Fear of God ESSENTIALS x Converse Skidgrip. Made in collaboration with American fashion icon Jerry Lorenzo, this marks his second FOG ESSENTIALS drop in collaboration with Converse and it's definitely the crazier of the two we've seen so far. Thankfully, we've got a detailed look at the model right here at The Sole Supplier.
Arriving in a vibrant multi-coloured palette, the FOG Multi boasts a canvas construction that's both tough and hardwearing and won't look out of place on the streets or on the basketball courts. Building on the legendary Chuck Taylor silhouette, Lorenzo has added his own twist and unmistakable pop to the signature model with beefed up panelling and a fortified lacing system that results in a pretty rugged look. The bold print draws influence from Jerry's childhood in the 1980s, where skate decks, BMX bikes and the general late '80s South Florida surf scene were crucial parts of his life. The rubber toe cap has been removed for a sleek and streamlined finish, while the vulcanised rubber midsole has been given a chunkier form factor for comfort that has literally been taken to new heights. Rounding it all off is Converse x ESSENTIALS co-branding at the heel of the slip soles, finalising the design of this high-heat Converse collaboration.
