Boston footwear powerhouse New Balance is expanding its list of partners by joining forces with Brazilian streetwear and sneaker retailer Your ID. This new relationship begins with the Your ID Store x New Balance 327 Lamén to commemorate the new store opening in São Paulo's famous Japan town.
The new Your ID retail store is situated in São Paulo's Japanese neighbourhood: Liberdade. The area is home to numerous Japanese-owned businesses such as sushi bars, ramen restaurants, and supermarkets. So with that said, a ramen-inspired shoe makes complete sense.
Pulling inspiration from ramen, the New Balance 327 Lamén features a mix of materials and colours to mimick the signature colours of the dish. Some of the notable features include the fuzzy green suede overlays around the toes similar to seaweed, the pink panels reminiscent of narutomaki or fish cakes, orange accents as soft-boiled marinated eggs also known as ajitsuke tamago, and much more. Playful ramen graphics mark the tongue accompanied by classic NB branding details and "DO NOT EAT” on the inside heels.
The Your ID Store x New Balance 327 Lamén is a must-have if you're a fan of Japanese cuisine. Download The Sole Supplier app to be notified of all the latest New Balance collabs.
