Air Jordan 1 High 85 Bred 2025

The infamous “Bred” Air Jordan 1 colourway makes a long awaited return in an original ’85 cut. While the “Banned” make-up has been recently retro'd in both a Flyknit and Satin version, it has been almost a decade since sneakerheads got their hands on a leather edition. As the 2016 edition of the black and red Jordan 1 reach eye-watering prices or have since become 'rotation beaters', people are more than happy to see the announcement of this Air Jordan 1 High 85 “Bred”.

Boasting a thicker profile on the Swoosh and a higher ankle collar, this will be the closest many purists will get to owning something akin to the original ’85 versions. If the previous retros such as the “Metallic Burgundy” and “Neutral Grey” are anything to go by, then you should expect a longer break-in period thanks to the thicker cut of leather. Jordan Brand has also spent a huge amount of money getting the midsole as close to the '85 version, taking off millimeters off here and there to please even the most dedicated of collectors.

Althought the shoe is dropping in the standard red and black AJ1 open lid box, the outside is finished in a semi matte to give this version an extra special feel to the unoxing experience. In the meantime it might be worth trying on another 'Jordan 1 '85 edition when you get the chance so you can find out if they fit true to size or not.
