Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Metallic Gold

Jordan Brand gives its Air Jordan 1 a podium finish with this “Metallic Gold” make-up. If you are a keen-eyed Jordan 1 fan, you’ll realise this is not the first time a black and gold AJ1 colourway has landed. Arriving as a Carmelo Anthony PE back in 2014, a very similarly colour-blocked version flew off the shelves during the high soaring years of the post-Jordan Retro era, with many OGs looking to redeem themselves with this “Metallic Gold” edition.

Landing with more of a glossy finish across the gold leather panelling, many will be pleased to know that the embroidered Jumpman is not on this version. Instead, a Nike Air label is sewn onto the mesh tongue, along with a debossed Wings insignia on the outer collar. Although the gold accents may seem like a step out of your comfort zone, this version is subdued by the black leather panelling and simple white midsole. Unlike the retro ’86 editions, expect standard levels of AJ1 comfort and the usual break-in period on this pair.
