The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Self Expression” may seem plain and simple, but it reveals its true colours the more you wear it. This iteration is one of the brand-new additions to Jordan Brand’s jam-packed 40th anniversary lineup in 2025, joining a chock-full of other GR styles, highly anticipated collaborations, and nostalgic OG comebacks.

This AJ1 High showcases three layers of coating throughout the upper, starting with an all-black base which then wears away into a multicoloured arrangement underneath. To top it all off, the vibrant paint transitions into a clean white canvas, allowing you to personalise the colour combination however you want. This unique detail draws similarities to Lance Mountain and Nike SB’s two-piece project from 2014, as well as the “LA to Chicago” and “NYC to Paris” iterations from 2019. Preserving the AJ1’s basketball heritage, the traditional Swoosh covers the sidewalls, complementing the embossed Wings on the lateral collar and Nike Air branding on the nylon tongue. The encapsulated Air technology in the heel provides ample comfort on and off the court, reinforced by a sail midsole and blacked-out rubber outsole. This pair arrives in an exclusive shoe box and additional sail laces to match the transformation.
