Air Jordan 1 Low GS Black University Blue

Did you know that the “University Blue” of MJ’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina, is also called “Tar Heel Blue?” Its sports teams are called the Tar Heels. In the past “tar heels” was a derogatory term that referred to people who worked in a lowly trade. The university turned around the label and made it an expression of pride. You’ll find this colour on a new smaller-sized drop from Jordan Brand, the Air Jordan 1 Low GS “Black University Blue”.

This low-top AJ1 has a light blue base showing on the toe box and the collar. The mid-panels as well as the rest of the overlays are pitch black. The laces, mesh sock liner, embroidered Jumpman on the tongues and embroidered Wings logos on the heel spines all follow suit. A white midsole and a light blue rubber tread wrap up the style of this shoe.
