Air Jordan 1 Low OG Year of the Rabbit

Nike turns up the temperature with this limited release of the “Year of the Rabbit” Air Jordan 1 Low. The shoe would have done well regardless, but now that sneakerheads are tuned in to the fact that these are limited to 5000 pairs, more eyes have now been drawn in. If you want to stand a chance of adding these to the stack of shoes in your room, make sure you’re ready to put in the research hours so you can eventually hop about in these Air Jordan 1 Lows.

The shoe has been spared no expense with its premium detailing and material quality. A soft brown suede holds down the toe guard and lace panel, an echo to all the Travis Air Jordan 1 Low releases. This nod is made more clear thanks to the red Nike Air tongue label as well as the sail and dark brown sole. Unlike the other “Year of the Rabbit” themed drops, this pair decides to step away from the pom-poms on the heel tab and simply features some faux rabbit fur laces (which you can interchange with the plain extra white lace). The rest of the upper seeks to balance out the dark brown with a white suede toe box, cream Swoosh and light blue heel panel. The Chinese New Year accents are sparingly used on the exterior of the shoe, draping the heel tab in gold with an embroidered Wings insignia. On the inside of the tongue is where you can find the most obvious reference to the motif, a gold rabbit sewn in gold with the shoe’s number edition just below. Stitched onto the insole is the last hint at the theme where a Jumpman logo has been given a traditional Chinese decorative makeover in a gold and red patch.
