Air Jordan 1 Mid X-Ray

Deviating from the GOAT’s accomplishments, this Air Jordan 1 Mid “X-Ray” looks back on Michael Jordan’s foot injury in 1985. Drawing similarities to the narrative of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “X-Ray”, this Jordan 1 Mid highlights MJ’s broken navicular bone on his left foot, causing him to miss most of his second NBA season.

This iteration displays an X-ray image of a foot on the vamp and quarter sections, reinforced with black synthetic leather overlays. An icy semi-translucent material constructs the Swoosh and ankle panel to blend with the upper. Mismatched accents highlight the Jumpman on the tongue, whilst a vibrant orange Wings logo adorns the collar atop the enlarged “23” branding. The sockliners showcase an “Even the best get hurt” text as a nod to MJ’s injury and as a motto for the wearer. The foot graphic reappears on the icy fresh translucent outsole, rounding out the special-edition details on this shoe.
