Jordan Brand is dropping what could be the biggest ‘double take’ sneaker in 2025 with this latest “Rare Air” Air Jordan 1 High OG edition. Stuck somewhere between the fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG and the “Shadow” AJ1, this make-up will certainly cause split opinions within the sneakerhead community. While OGs could argue that original colourways should never be mixed, just as many fans of the silhouette will be eagerly awaiting this drop. Are you calling these the ‘fragment 2.0s’ or “Shadow Toe” AJ1s, let us know over on our socials.
The colour blocking remains traditional on this pair, with a white midfoot panel and contrasting black Swoosh, along with the typical leather tooling. We saw a similar remix on the “Top 3” edition from 2016, with this pair opting for a darker palette overall. Having made a recent comeback via the “Shadow” Low iteration in 2024, the make-up has seldom been seen since its Retro High in 2018, with this “Rare Air” being a warm welcome. The upper sits atop an aged midsole, with the stars and pivot point covered in a lick of black paint, tying it back to the black and grey favourite.
While these are only speculative photos as this pair is set for a release in 2025, you can stay up-to-date on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Rare Air” by keeping it tuned to The Sole Supplier!
