Michael Jordan's Air Jordan 1 has proven to be the most popular lifestyle shoe today through the never-ending stream of colourways since 1985. The Jordan 1 Banned, aka Bred, is no doubt the most coveted colourway of all time and has received a few retros over the recent years. For its latest outfit, the two-toned makeover is appearing in the form of the Air Jordan 1 High OG Patent Bred.
This AJ1 Bred works on a high-top profile that still maintains the iconic features of the Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette—Swoosh logos on the sides, Wings emblem on the collar, Nike branding details on the tongues and insoles, and a full-length Air midsole unit underfoot.
What makes this version different from its predecessors is the glossy patent leather build replacing traditional premium leather panels—although it still arrives in the signature black and red colour blocking. While this may be a deal-breaker to some people, long-term Jordan collectors certainly have no problem with this luxurious update.
