The Jordan 1 Low OG Chinese New Year Black University Red proudly exhibits a new colorway to celebrate the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. Official images of the low top silhouette have been handed to us in a red envelope to open here at The Sole Supplier.
The AJ1 High is undoubtedly one of the most iconic silhouettes in the sneaker game since its debut back in 1985. However, the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low that released alongside has been acknowledged just as much as the high cut version did. In celebration of the Year of the Ox, Nike's Jordan brand reveals a CNY themed shoe resulting in a huge surge of demand in the market.
Crafted from a black and red canvas upper, the pair is accentuated with metallic gold accents in the form of traditional Chinese graphics. This can be seen on the toe box, side panels, then all the way across to the heel where the Air Jordan wings logo also makes an appearance. Down below, a crisp clean white midsole equipped with a red rubber outsole provides extreme comfort and cushioning for longer periods of usage on and off the court.
Completing the design is a traditional Chinese decorative knot known as the zhongguó jié equipped with a hanging tassel for a festive feel but also to wish you good luck on securing a W on its release date.
The Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG Chinese New Year is yet to receive an official launch date, but what we do know is that you'll have a high chance of adding these to your collection if you hit the bell notification above and keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for the latest information on sneaker releases!
