Trophy Room founder Marcus Jordan revealed several unreleased pairs during the finale episode of Complex’s Full Size Run. One of the most eye-catching sneakers among the bunch is the Trophy Room Air Jordan 1 High “Freeze Out”, an alternate take on the hugely limited “Chicago” colourway in 2021.
Conceptualised by Michael Jordan’s heir himself, this never-before-seen AJ1 High pays homage to the 1985 NBA All-Star game. The infamous narrative tells that MJ’s teammates “froze him out” during his first-ever All-Star game, deliberately avoiding passing MJ the ball. This iteration sports an OG colour blocking, decked out in a crisp white leather underlay with glittery blue overlays as a nod to the 1985 Western Conference All-Star Team’s blue uniforms. Black profile Swooshes and collars contrast the predominantly vibrant colour palette, while MJ’s signature appears on the rear. A red Nike Air tongue tag steps away from the consistent blue and white. The glossy wings emblem adorns the side, evoking a luxe design treatment. A “Rumor has it…” phrase can be seen embroidered on the interior, referencing the freeze out. The white midsole and icy translucent outsole with red and blue star patterns deliver the finishing touches to this rare AJ1 rendition.
