Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 Pine Green

The hype around the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 has certainly been real, with the coveted pair earning the number one spot in a range of official "Sneaker Of The Year 2023" lists. An increase in demand for the Air Jordan 4 silhouette combined with Nike SB’s hot streak, it's clear that Jordan Brand and the SB team smashed this Jordan 4 "Pine Green" collaboration out of the park!

We’ve seen the two Nike divisions collaborate together in the past, most commonly on the Air Jordan 1, a silhouette that has deep ties within skateboarding culture. The last time we saw them team up was on the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 High “LA to Chicago”, a shoe that slowly transitioned into the Chicago Bulls colourway the more you skated in them. We expect the same level of storytelling on this Air Jordan 4 SB release and we know sneakerheads have got high hopes too.

An off-white leather is used for the majority of the upper on the Jordan 4 SB, with the photo suggesting the use of a premium cut that will age well with wear. Underfoot you’ve got a sneakerhead staple with the gum outsole, a feature you can spot on a number of different SB Dunks. On the heel, find a Nike SB logo instead of the usual Jumpman or Nike Air, which is a first for the AJ4. Another major change arrives in the form of the super suede toe, a detail introduced thanks to its skate-friendly ability to withstand wear against scrapes and snags. Following the standard procedure are the other traditional AJ4 features, such as the netting and wings that are here in a rubber form to also help withstand wear. Some are comparing this edition to the Air Jordan 4 “Money Green” from 2004, a grail among Jordan heads that in combination with the sleeker shape of the toe box, will no doubt increase demand.
