Here we take a closer look at the Nike Air Max 98 Oil Grey GS.
Arriving fresh for 2019, the Air Max 98 is seeing somewhat of a revival recently – you’d be crazy to miss this new colourway. Arriving in Oil Grey/Black/Black/Oil Grey, they’re crafted from a combination of real and synthetic leather, which has been layered to give that classic AM98 look.
A smooth dark grey mudguard covers the bottom half of the upper, which has markings and grooves embossed into it as well as a mid size Swoosh for branding. The top half of the upper is a deeper black mesh, which wraps around the sidewalls, the counter and toe vamp. This ensures your feet are going to be well-ventilated and comfortable as you wear these all day long.
As for branding, there’s another mini Swoosh on a leather patch on the toe vamp, Air branding embossed into the heel counter, and rear of the midsole, and a wonky Air Max logo on the tongue. And when you’re out in the dark, the 3M piping that runs around the whole perimeter of the sneaker is going to take your sneaker and outfit game to the next level.
Underfoot is the chunky white foam midsole, which features a full length Air Max Sole unit and a grippy non-marking rubber outsole in black. You know you’re going to be comfortable wearing these. Elevate your streetwear game by styling these with baggy cargos and a long sleeve Stüssy Tee.
