Made in collaboration with British designer Martine Rose, the Martine Rose x Nike Air Monarch IV Medium Soft Pink Black may not be for everyone, but it’s unique to say the least. Fashioned from shiny patent leather, this shoe is artfully disfigured – a concept that was inspired by by putting size 18 tooling on top of a size 9 midsole.
Bulbous elements appear on the toebox, midfoot, and heel for a look wild and whimsical look. In terms of logos, they are kept to a minimum here to keep your focus on the odd design, but upon closer inspection, a Swoosh logo and Rose’s signature can be seen gracing the lateral and medial sides. The insoles feature further co-branding, and each shoe is rounded off by a standard, unchanged Monarch midsole
