Nike Air More Uptempo 96 Olympic

As Team USA vies for Olympic glory in Paris, Nike reissues the OG Air More Uptempo 96 “Olympic”. This iconic colourway first saw action in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, famously worn by Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen, who led the United States men’s basketball squad en route to another gold medal finish.

This Air More Uptempo sports a two-tone combination, clad in a navy blue nubuck base with crisp white leather overlays. The massive “AIR” branding runs along the sidewalls, whilst the signature Swoosh adorns the toe, tongue, and rear. A golden “8” embellishes the upper heel portion, a nod to Scottie Pippen’s jersey number as a member of Team USA. The visible bubble runs full-length for responsive cushioning, shored up by segmented herringbone patterns.
