Nike Air VaporMax 2023 Flyknit Oreo

You can always bet on a spike in interest from footwear fans anytime Nike announces the “Oreo” colourway. From the Flyknit Racer in 2013, the Air Jordan 4 in 2015 and even the Air VaporMax Flyknit 3 in 2019, the “Oreo” make-up has never failed to garner attention. Joining this black-and-white lineage is the Nike Air VaporMax 2023 Flyknit, a shoe that recognises the past to inform its present.

The AVM 2023 Flyknit is the current culmination of everything the Swoosh has learnt through its’ VaporMax line. The traditional Flyknit upper is a welcomed sight, with Flywire weaving into the side wall for added support on the eyestays. A set of thick rope laces lead up to the ankle collar where frayed edges give the pair a deconstructed edge. Inside lies a blue-speckled insole formed of Nike Grind Rubber, an innovative technology spawned from the discoveries of the Swoosh’s Space Hippie Division. To finish off the ensemble, a semi-translucent midsole complements the binary motif on the upper, a mini swoosh giving being a final stamp of approval.
