When we first saw the Undercover x Nike Daybreak Black back in Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019, our jaws were left on the floor. A complete rework of the ’70s running shoe, Jun Takahashi has given it a modern makeover that has everyone talking!
As stealthy as it gets, the Undercover x Nike Daybreak Black is painted in a monochromatic black and white palette. The upper is crafted from a durable waterproof material to tackle the elements, and this is flanked by buttery smooth suede mudguards.
Co-branding features on the tongue and insole, and Takahashi’s iconic underlined “U” motif graces the heel portion of the shoe. Of course, we can’t talk about this collab without mentioning the aggressively styled EVA midsole which is complete with a unique crown-like embellishment on the heel.
