Nike Ja 1 Day One

Nike’s first signature shoe for a Gen Z athlete, the Ja 1, surfaces in monochromatic hues and hits of golden yellow. The Ja 1 was specifically designed for Memphis Grizzlies’ Temetrius Jamel "Ja" Morant. It has a lightweight upper and robust cushioning to match the game’s most explosive players. This Ja 1 has a breathable white mesh base. The mid-panel leather overlays are given a mismatched treatment. The lateral sides are solid whilst the medial sides have different-sized perforations. The left shoe’s mid-panel overlays are light grey, matching the TPU Swooshes. The right shoe’s mid-panel overlays, on the other hand, are dark grey and the TPU Swooshes are black. Ja branding in black can be found on the right yellow-hued tongue label, matching the laces. The same branding on the left shoe is grey, also matching the laces. Other special details include Morant’s jersey number embroidered in yellow onto the heel tabs and Morant’s first name and last names debossed on the left and right heel spines, respectively. A white midsole and mismatched grey and white rubber outsoles finish off the design of this sneaker.
