Nike Kobe 5 Protro University Red

Nike has blessed basketball fans with a brand-new colourway of the Kobe 5 Protro to unleash their Mamba Mentality. The signature series continues to embody the hard work and dedication to the game of the late Los Angeles Lakers legend and NBA Hall of Famer to inspire the next generation of athletes. Set to debut in Spring ‘25, the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “University Red” showcases a striking colour palette bound to elevate your confidence on and off the court.

This low-top, lightweight basketball sneaker boasts a bright red synthetic upper with internal Flywire cables for additional structure. Padded mesh reinforces the collar to provide comfort and support around the ankle and Achilles tendon. Luxe gold accents animate the Swoosh logos on the sidewalls, complementing the Sheath logo on the tongue. Underfoot lies a black Cushlon foam, encasing a massive Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot for a responsive, stable ride from baseline to baseline, ideal for athletes who often run up and down the court. Heartbeat patterns provide multidirectional traction on various playing surfaces, propped up by a rigid carbon fibre shank plate for arch support.
