The long-awaited comeback of the Air Jordan 5 OG “Fire Red” headlines the 35th-anniversary milestone of the classic basketball shoe. Donning the Chicago Bulls team colours, this iconic pair is one of the four original variants from 1990, revered for its bulky and well-cushioned design that catered to MJ’s athletic ability and all-around playstyle. Last released in 2013, the “Fire Red Black Tongue” returns in 2025 with a refined shape that closely matches the original, captivating avid Air Jordan fans and old-school sneakerheads.

This AJ5 features a crisp white leather upper with a translucent plastic netting on the sidewalls for optimal airflow. The black shark teeth detail, inspired by WWII fighter jets, rests atop a red polyurethane foam midsole to stand out. An embroidered “23” on the lateral panel nods to the GOAT’s jersey number, complementing the traditional Nike Air on the rear and sockliner. The asymmetrical collar structure offers a supportive fit, while the innovative plastic lace lock allows you to adjust the tightness of the sneaker. A Jumpman logo adorns the blacked-out tongue, deviating from the reflective properties of the equally legendary “Silver Tongue” edition. The exposed Air bubble in the heel provides ample shock absorption at every step, bolstered by icy translucent sections on the herringbone outsole.
