22 nodes across the outsole move up and down against the foot, a system Nike's Mind Science Department developed to activate sensory areas of the brain and help you stay present. Foam in the midsole cushions each step, while stretchy fabric on the footbed gives those nodes room to travel. Rubber pods near the toe and heel add traction where you push off.
