Here we take a closer look at Virgil Abloh’s Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 1 Chicago, one of the most anticipated releases of 2017. It joins a collection known as “The Ten” which features no less than 10 silhouettes as part of this hyped collaboration. Keep it locked to our social media pages for all the latest heat and news surrounding each release.
The Off-White Jordan 1 is just as unique as you’d expect for a brand which is characterised by oversized branding and industrial-inspired insignia. Instantly, you’ll notice the “AIR” lettering which is stamped to the midsole. And that’s just a minor detail compared with some of the eye-catching accents found on this AJ1.
Famed street designed Virgil doesn’t hold back with a deconstructed style that transforms the classic 70s basketball silhouette into a modern day masterpiece. The leather crafted pieces fit together in a rugged, patch-work effect that somehow works surprisingly well.
“SHOELACES” mark the black laces and a chunky synthetic cable tie stays true to that urban industrial theme. A classic Wings logo does feature to the sidewall, just in case you forgot that this is in fact an OG Jumpman.
The Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 1 is scheduled to release on Monday 18th September via the retailers listed. Bookmark this page as more stockists will be updated shortly.
