The Nike Pegasus 42 GORE-TEX "Black Noir" brings a waterproof build to Nike's road running platform. Inside, a GORE-TEX membrane lines the technical mesh upper throughout. A black base gives the trainer a tonal look, with dark grey detailing adding depth and reflective hits catching the light after sunset.

Underfoot, an Air Zoom unit runs the full length of the ReactX foam midsole, which Nike rates 13% more responsive than its previous React foam. A Storm Tread outsole provides traction on slick roads. Compared with the Pegasus 41, the updated last opens up a wider toe box and adds extra toe spring.
