Nike unveils the VaporFly 4 “Prototype”, the debut colourway inspired by the brand’s meticulous design processes when developing the shoe. This flagship model is 10% lighter than the previous silhouette, achieved by chopping down the upper and midsole to what’s only necessary. This simple yet effective setup allows runners to achieve peak performance and break new records in short-distance and long-distance running events.

This VaporFly 4 features a clean sail tone on the engineered mesh upper, which offers a more consistent fit. Black oversized Swooshes grace the sidewalls to match the silhouette’s aggressive look, complementing the prototype-inspired branding throughout the body. Focusing on speed while maintaining maximum cushioning, the orange full-length ZoomX foam midsole boasts a 35mm heel and 29mm forefoot stack height, keeping you low to the ground. The carbon fibre Flyplate incorporates an updated curvature for enhanced energy return. Waffle-inspired treads on the rubber outsole deliver excellent traction throughout the race.
