It all began in 1995 when visionary designer Sergio Lozano set out to create the ultimate Swoosh sneaker. Taking inspiration from human anatomy, the Nike Air Max 95 OG "Neon" was born and it pretty much became an instant classic. Now, to celebrate 25 years since its debut, the legendary colourway is making a comeback, and we're taking a closer look!
A true icon, rumours of the "Neon" returning began making rounds back in April. When we initially reported about it in the spring, pretty much no one believed that the legend would actually drop again, but the proof is in the pudding.
Shots courtesy of sneaker insider @regularolty, 2020's Air Max 95 boasts the exact same material construction and colour palette as the original. With suede panels in four shades of grey making their way to the lateral and medial panels and "Volt" accents appearing on the eyelets, there's just no beating this classic crep.
You'll even find the fully blacked out Nike Air midsole underfoot, as well as the OG "Air Max" emblems that are finely embroidered along the tongues of each shoe.
Set to make a comeback sometime next month, December's going to be a huge month for sneakers, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for your best chance to cop the Nike Air Max 95 OG "Neon". Let us know what you think of this colourway, and in related news, the Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 "Total Orange" has been unveiled!
