Earlier this year, we unveiled that Hiroshi Fujiwara was bringing back the iconic fragment design x Nike Dunk High "City Pack". Comprising of three colourways that represent three major cities around the globe, this collection is as legendary now as it was back in 2010 when it made its initial debut. With all that said, we're now taking a closer look at the fragment design x Nike Dunk High "Beijing"!
Featuring a crisp all-leather construction, the "Beijing" is painted in bold purple and black tones making it the most versatile of the terrific trio that also includes the "London" and the "New York". An extended collar offers up extra support, while a legendary Nike Swoosh elegantly shoots across the lateral and medial side panels. Of course, you can't talk about this collab without mentioning the godfather of streetwear's signature double lightning bolt emblem that adorns the heel.
These brand new shots from @leaked.sneaks showcase the 2021 version of the "Beijing", so it's interesting to note that the mismatched detailing from the OG Dunk High isn't here anymore. Maybe this is just a way to differentiate the old from the new. Another detail that's worth discussing is the line of code that is printed along the midsole. Falling in line with the Japanese brand's technical aesthetic, the "SU21" may hint that its release date.
Expected to drop sometime this summer, the fragment design x Nike Dunk High "Beijing" is a serious grail and a half. Make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops, and while you're here, you might as well get up close with the Travis Scott x fragment design x Air Jordan 1 High!
