After taking a sneak peek last week, we're now getting a closer look at the fragment design x sacai x Nike LDWaffle. A sneaker that has reached god-like hype levels, this marks Hiroshi Fujiwara and Chitose Abe's second collaboration since their Converse Chuck Taylor project from 2017.
Images courtesy of sneaker insiders @sneakerjamz and @soledebrief, this LDWaffle combine sacai's high heat hybrid with fragment's signature colour palette. Building on top of a soft nylon base, everything from the tongues to the Nike Swooshes have been doubled up. Supple suede panelling hits the toe box and heel, and down below, you'll find the legendary stacked midsole that got everyone talking back in 2019.
The usual Nike x sacai branding adorns the heel, and to round it all off, FD's iconic lightning bolt emblem is finely debossed along the lateral side, finalising the design.
Spotted on the feet of Fujiwara himself earlier this season, it's safe to say that the fragment design x sacai x Nike LDWaffle is 100% the real deal, though whether or not they'll get a public release remains to be seen. Let us know what you think of this coveted collab, and in related news, it looks like the fragment design x Air Jordan 3 is dropping later this year!
