A Closer Look at the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "Monarch"

The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "Monarch" has got to be one of the most hyped collaborations of 2021. First leaked all the way back in March, the pair has been on our minds ever since. After six months of nothing but silence, we're now getting a closer look at the coveted coloruway, and it's so much more than we could have ever imagined!

Spotted on the feet of Patta's very own Edson Sabajo during Sneakerness Amsterdam, the "Monarch" works on top of a crisp white construction that's crafted from breathable mesh. Leather wraps around the heel and side panels, where you'll also find a Nike Swoosh shooting across in a burnt orange hue.

Of course, you can't talk about this Air Max 1 without mentioning the wavy suede mudguards that embrace the entire shoe. Earning it the nickname "The Wave", you'll also find a smaller white Swoosh embroidered on the lateral toe as well as a "Patta" tag on the tongue, finalising the design.

Set to drop alongside the "Noise Aqua", the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "Monarch" will land very soon, with some sources even suggesting that they'll get a shock drop next week!
