With the "Baroque Brown" and the "Saturn Gold" primed for release in just a few days time, we're now getting up close and personal with the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 "Cave Stone", and it's probably the most wearable colourway our of the five-shoe collaboration.
First leaked all the way back in April 2021, we've never actually seen the "Cave Stone" in-hand until now. Featuring an ultra premium construction that combines ballistic mesh, premium leather, and supple suede, this Air Max 1 is painted in understated light grey and duck egg blue tones for an aesthetic that is perfect for the colder months ahead.
A stippled Swoosh shoots across the lateral sidewall, kind of like the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High "Dark Mocha" from 2019, while patterned ribbons wrap around the top eyelets and the heel, acting also as a convenient pull tab around the back.
Shifting your focus down below, the Nike Air midsole has been dipped in a stealthy "Off Noir" makeup complete with a blocked ourtbubble that's actually been pretty controversial. To round it all off, brand new "Cactus Jack" branding can be found on the tongue and outsole, finalising the design.
We think that the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 "Cave Stone" is the best of the bunch so far, but do you agree? While we don't expect this to drop along the two aforementioned colourways on May 27th, never say never. Smash that "Notify me" button to keep up-to-date, and while you're here, you might as well take your first look at the next Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 "Cactus Jack"!
