A New Stüssy x Birkenstock Collaboration is Set to Land Imminently

Article updated 22/11/23: As expected, we wouldn't have to wait long for the grand reveal of the latest Stüssy x Birkenstock collaboration. Taking to Instagram yesterday, Stüssy revealed the latest lookbook shots of the shoes, and needless to say, it's been met with a bit of mixed reception.

After the hype behind 2021's Stüssy Boston Clog, the duo was left with some pretty big boots to fill with this latest collection, and judging by social media's reaction, they haven't managed to do so. The shoe itself is an all-new silhouette named the Solana Sandal. Embracing the single strap of the Birkenstock Kyoto, this toe-less silhouette flaunts a fluffy shearling lining.

The juxtaposition of a sandal with shearling lining appears somewhat odd. With sandals traditionally worn in warm weather and shearling typically used in the winter, this silhouette poses questions on when you can actually wear them. New pair of slippers, anyone?

Either way, if you do so happen to be interested in one of the three Stüssy x Birkenstock colourways on offer, they'll be launching this Friday, the 24th of November. Keep reading for the original article below.

Original article: After rumours first circulated in October, it seems like a new Stüssy and Birkenstock collaboration is officially on the way. Taking to Instagram, Stüssy confirmed the news with somewhat of a cryptic post, accompanied by a release date that just so happens to be a few days away.

The post itself is of a photo sign that reads, "Do not step in fire pits." Without trying to look too deeply into things, this could mean this latest rendition is made from somewhat of a delicate material. The text reads, "Stüssy & Birkenstock... available worldwide at select chapter stores and stussy.com on Friday, November 24th and on 1774.com on November 27th."

Annoyingly, this post doesn't specify time zones or drop times, but given just how great previous collaborations from the duo have been, we'll collectively give them a pass. No images are available of the silhouette just yet, but we're expecting something will land in the next few days in the lead-up to the launch.
