In quick succession after its announcement, Yeezy x GAP took their partnership to the next level yesterday. For the first time, fans of the duo's collaborative works could purchase Yeezy x GAP clothing at a physical retail location yesterday. The location itself was the Times Square flagship branch of GAP's stores, now alluding to the idea of further pop-ups in the future.
In true Yeezy x GAP fashion, the store itself was stripped back to its bare bones to help convey the utilitarian approach of the brand. Upon entering the store, customers were greeted simply with a variety of large surplus bags, with each containing both new and older designs from the Yeezy x GAP Engineered by Balenciaga stable. On the side of the bags, we saw simple pricing notes indicating each item's worth.
While you more so might expect to see this jumble-sale approach from your local Primark, it's clear to see Yeezy x GAP Engineered by Balenciaga still has consumers eating out of the palm of its hand. In other fashion news, Stone Island launches Chapter 1 of its Shadow Project AW22 collection.
